C.6 Transfer of best practice demonstration of protection systems sheepfolds, orchards, crops and beekeeping farms in order to reduce conflicts between man and bear

On January 24, 2016 we organized a meeting with the animal breeders from Asociația Bujorul de Munte in Moroeni, Dambovita County regarding awarness for the human-bear conflicts.

The meeting consisted in: project presentation LIFE FOR BEAR –, transfer of best practices for sheepfolds protection, orchards, crops and beekeeping farms in order to reduce conflicts between man and bear and  identify the main causes leading to conflicts.

We presented the opportunity to mount electric fences for livestock farmers in the area, in order to limit damage to domestic animals recorded in the sheepfolds within the range of the project and direct human-bear conflicts.
