The action aims to improve the trophic supply favorable for natural feeding areas by setting up bear hunting culture and promoting the forestry works for preferred plant species.
In the project area, there were identified exclaves of different shapes and sizes with a total area of 65 ha of which 15 ha were chosen to set up of these crops, given their distance from the areas and areas of bear conflict so that the action can maximize effectiveness.
Thus in April – May-June 2015 plantings were carried out across the administration of Regiei Publice Kronstad and Ocolul Silvic Râșnov. The species of trees and shrubs chosen to be planted are: apple tree (Malus silvestris), wild pear (Pirus piraster), hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna), wax cherry (Prunus cerasifera), mountain ash (Sorbus aucuparia) and red sea buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides ), plum (Prunus domestica), blackberry (Rubus fruticosus), raspberry (Rubus idaeus).
They have planted a total number of 11,700 seedlings.
In each year we will interfere with additions for culture maintenance in spring and in autumn. The action will have effect in time by doubling the trophic offer, in order to have favorable natural feeding the bear population..
